TRAINING: “Strengthening Capacities for Gender Equality and Gender-Sensitive Public Policies”
The gender equality training is designed with the aim of improving participants’ understanding of key principles, frameworks, and methodologies for effectively addressing challenges in this area. Special emphasis is placed on practical tools and knowledge for integrating a gender perspective into the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, thereby ensuring a significant contribution to advancing gender equality within participants’ institutions and sectors.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, participants will acquire practical skills through interactive and dynamic sessions, enabling them to analyze and address gender inequalities in political representation, economic opportunities, and social structures. The program is aligned with international obligations and best practices, while taking into account the specific legislative and institutional context of Montenegro.
The training is conducted within the joint United Nations program Together for the Common Good, implemented by UNDP, UNICEF, and UNESCO, in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro and with financial support from the UN Peacebuilding Fund. The aim of this program is to strengthen social cohesion by enhancing citizens’ trust in institutions and increasing communities’ resilience to challenges such as hate speech, gender-based violence, and violence against children and youth.
