NATIONAL DIALOGUE: The Community Drives Change
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites all interested citizens to participate in the National Dialogue, which will take place on May 28 and 29 in Podgorica.
For those who wish to actively contribute to the common good and a better present and future for all, we are hosting a two-day informal dialogue. The program runs from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM on the first day and from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM on the second day.
The National Dialogue is an inspirational and open space, where teamwork will help spark actions for the common good and a future that reflects the needs of all. This unique opportunity allows participants to:
- Exchange thoughts and ideas about what they would like to improve in their communities;
- Engage in discussions with fellow citizens on key social challenges such as hate speech, gender-based violence, peer violence, and the marginalization of certain social groups;
- Share their vision of communities that foster unity, solidarity, respect for diversity, and mutual trust, as well as trust in institutions;
- Be part of a platform where their proposed solutions to concrete challenges are considered by local, national, and international institutions.
Through open dialogue, teamwork, innovative activities, and educational presentations, citizens will collaborate with local institution representatives to develop practical recommendations that will help strengthen social cohesion in Montenegro. These recommendations and ideas should reflect the values of solidarity, cooperation, tolerance, empathy, gender equality, and the prevention of hate speech.
Participants of the Dialogue will also have the chance to join the Social Cohesion Innovation Lab, where proposed ideas will be further developed, and some will receive support for implementation.
All interested individuals are encouraged to apply, including youth, women, local civil society organizations, educators, parents, entrepreneurs, media representatives, and other social actors who are committed to contributing to the common good.
